Base Set 2, released February 24, 2000, is a 130-card compilation set combining reprints from the original Base Set and Jungle expansion. Cards feature updated artwork borders and the Base Set 2 set logo. No 1st Edition run was produced for this set.
Most valuable cards
The holographic Charizard (#4) remains the top card, though valued lower than its original Base Set counterpart. Blastoise (#2), Venusaur (#18), and Poliwrath (#15) holos are also collected. Holo Pidgeot (#14) is an underrated pickup.
